Scott L. Tyson, MD FAAP, CEO

Dr. Scott Tyson, the CEO of Pediatrics South, is a warm and friendly man whose kind, childlike nature compliments his professional maturity. Dr. Tyson shares his time between all three Pediatrics South locations. He is a member of PUSH and Just Healthcare. Dr. Tyson has a passion for healthcare politics and economics as well as a strong interest in film, art and music.

Marc Yester, MD FAAP

Marc Yester is a board certified pediatrician who joined the practice in 2010. Originally from Morgantown, WV he attended undergraduate and medical school at West Virginia University. He then completed residency at Wake Forest University, and was selected as Chief Resident the following year. His current focus within pediatrics includes concussion diagnosis and management, and pediatric resident education. Dr. Yester currently works along with the Children Hospital of Pittsburgh Residency Program, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Board of Pediatrics, Chartiers-Houston School District, Keystone-Oaks School District, and the Washington County Child Death Review Board.

Dr. Marc Yester is married to Dr. Amy Yester, a local OBGYN, and they are blessed with four wonderful children. In his free time Dr. Yester enjoys Pittsburgh and WVU sports, cooking, travel, and golfing.

Susan Van Cleve, CRNP

Dr. Susan Van Cleve is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has extensive experience working with children and families in primary care settings as well as with children with special needs. She earned her BSN from the University of Pittsburgh, her MSN from Boston College, and her DNP from Robert Morris University. She works fulltime as a Clinical Professor and Director of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care Program at the University Of Iowa College Of Nursing and works part time as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist at Pediatrics South where she provides comprehensive assessment and treatment to children and teens with developmental, behavioral, and mental health disorders. She lectures extensively on clinical topics such as ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression and the role of nurse practitioners in the integration of mental health into pediatric primary care. She also speaks about professional issues.

Dr. Van Cleve has been the president of NAPNAP and the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board; She is active in local regional and national nurse practitioner organizations.

Janet M. Breslin, MD FAAP

Dr. Janet Breslin was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She studied at the Pennsylvania State University and the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine. Her training was completed at Children’s Hospital of
Pittsburgh and the UPMC Health System.

Dr. Breslin has been married for 33 years to her husband, Jim, who is a fellow Penn State graduate. They are proud parents of three adult children.

Her special interests include all things related to Penn State, art design and architecture. She is also an avid animal lover and relaxes with the family dog, a Sheltie named Sadie.

Dr. Amy Gosling’s favorite part of being a pediatrician is being able to work with families and children, being part of what helps them grow strong in body and mind. Dr. Gosling has three beautiful daughters. She can often be found playing tennis and platform tennis or walking her two yellow labs.

Wilmarie Garcia, MD FAAP

Dr. Wilmarie Garcia first moved to Chicago from her native Puerto Rico to complete her undergraduate degree. She stayed in the city to complete both her medical degree and Pediatric residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago Children’s Hospital. She enjoys seeing children of all ages and has special interests in preventative medicine, as well as respiratory, gastrointestinal, and dermatologic conditions. She feels privileged to provide medical care and support to families and share in the joys and challenges of raising healthy, happy children.

She is married to Steve Strock, who is a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician. Together, they enjoy traveling, dancing, hiking, camping, and spending time with their black lab, Luna.

Whitney Jalali, CRNP

Whitney Jalali is a certified registered pediatric nurse practitioner. She completed her bachelor’s degree in her hometown of Morgantown, West Virginia at West Virginia University. She then worked as a registered nurse for five years in both neonatal and cardiology specialties before graduating summa cum laude with her nurse practitioner degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has always had a passion for working with children and is grateful to have the opportunity to join families in the care of their youngest members. In her free time, she enjoys learning foreign languages, baking, and goofing off with her kids. She lives in Mt Lebanon with her husband and two young children.

Dr. Nila Mistry, MD FAAP

Becoming a pediatrician has been a goal of mine from a very young age. I love the daily interactions with families and watching my patients grow and develop with each visit. After completing residency in Cleveland, I joined my husband in Pittsburgh and started working at Pediatrics South. Outside of the office, I love to cook and bake, do photography, and spend time outdoors with my puppy!
