Angela Dill, CRNP

Ms. Dill is a Family Nurse Practitioner and the mother of two wonderful children.

She has a kind and easy-going nature that makes her a perfect fit for Pediatrics South.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. Dill worked as a registered nurse for more than 10 years.  In 2018 she earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree at Simmons University of Boston, Massachusetts.  She has been awarded a national board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and soon after began her career in pediatrics.

Marysa McConnell, CRNP

Ms. McConnell just moved to the South Hills area with her boyfriend & two dogs.  She likes traveling, gardening, and going to Penguins games.

Education: Robert Morris University BSN May 2015. Duke University MSN Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner December 2019. Interested in behavioral health.
Previous Experience: Ms. McConnell worked at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for 7 years, 5 years in the emergency department.

Scott L. Tyson, MD FAAP, CEO

Dr. Scott Tyson, the CEO of Pediatrics South, is a warm and friendly man whose kind, childlike nature compliments his professional maturity. Dr. Tyson shares his time between both Pediatrics South locations. He is a member of PUSH and Just Healthcare. Dr. Tyson has a passion for healthcare politics and economics as well as a strong interest in film, art and music.

Marc Yester, MD FAAP

Marc Yester is a board certified pediatrician who joined the practice in 2010. Originally from Morgantown, WV he attended undergraduate and medical school at West Virginia University. He then completed residency at Wake Forest University, and was selected as Chief Resident the following year. His current focus within pediatrics includes concussion diagnosis and management, and pediatric resident education. Dr. Yester currently works along with the Children Hospital of Pittsburgh Residency Program, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Board of Pediatrics, Chartiers-Houston School District, Keystone-Oaks School District, and the Washington County Child Death Review Board.

Dr. Marc Yester is married to Dr. Amy Yester, a local OBGYN, and they are blessed with four wonderful children. In his free time Dr. Yester enjoys Pittsburgh and WVU sports, cooking, travel, and golfing.

Susan Van Cleve, CRNP

Dr. Susan Van Cleve is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has extensive experience working with children and families in primary care settings as well as with children with special needs. She earned her BSN from the University of Pittsburgh, her MSN from Boston College, and her DNP from Robert Morris University. She works fulltime as a Clinical Professor and Director of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care Program at the University Of Iowa College Of Nursing and works part time as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist at Pediatrics South where she provides comprehensive assessment and treatment to children and teens with developmental, behavioral, and mental health disorders. She lectures extensively on clinical topics such as ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression and the role of nurse practitioners in the integration of mental health into pediatric primary care. She also speaks about professional issues.

Dr. Van Cleve has been the president of NAPNAP and the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board; She is active in local regional and national nurse practitioner organizations.

Amy Baker, CRNP
Amy Baker is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing in 2009, and worked full-time as a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh while obtaining her BSN from Liberty University in 2013 and her Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh’s Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program in 2017. Her doctoral project was completed at Pediatrics South, educating parents of infants on the importance of the Tdap vaccine for close contacts of infants. Her nursing background has strengthened her desire to work with children and their families in the primary care setting, helping to keep kids safe and healthy.

Amy enjoys spending her free time with her husband, son, and their 2 dogs. Their favorite activities include going to parks, fishing, and watching movies and Pittsburgh Penguins hockey.

Maya Goldin-Perschbacher, MD FAAP

Dr. Maya grew up in CT and spent her educational years in Boston prior to moving to Pittsburgh for her pediatric training. She met her husband in the area and has decided to stay on and care for the children in this region.
Special interests include nutrition and breastfeeding.

Dr. Amy Gosling’s favorite part of being a pediatrician is being able to work with families and children, being part of what helps them grow strong in body and mind. Dr. Gosling has three beautiful daughters. She can often be found playing tennis and platform tennis or walking her two yellow labs.

Toby Ascherman, MD FAAP

Dr. Ascherman completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard and her medical degree at Stanford University. She then completed her residency and chief residency at Children’s National in Washington DC.

She joined Pediatrics South in 1998 and was here through 2010. After an 8 year stint practicing in Miami, we are thrilled that Dr Ascherman and her family are returning to Pittsburgh and to Pediatrics South!
